WHAT IS COOLSCULPTING® ELITE, AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

CoolSculpting^® Elite is a nonsurgical, noninvasive procedure for contouring away stubborn fat. Developed by Harvard scientists, CoolSculpting^® Elite uses targeted cooling to gently freeze fat cells. Gradually, these cells die off and are eliminated by the body, resulting in a more sculpted physique in the treated area. CoolSculpting^® Elite is a safe and affordable alternative to surgery.

The areas most commonly targeted with CoolSculpting^® Elite are the chin and check, mid and lower back, upper and lower abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, and for men, the chest.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

First, you’ll meet with a member of our expert staff here at Uptown Medical Aesthetics to determine your individualized treatment plan.
On the day of your treatment, your specialist will use a vacuum wand with a gel pad to perform your CoolSculpting® Elite treatment. The process itself is not painful, but most people do report feeling cooling and light pulling sensation as fat cells are drawn toward the surface. The feeling of cold will typically disappear as the treatment area becomes numb.
Since CoolSculpting® Elite is noninvasive, there is no downtime after your procedure. You can get right back to living your busy life; some people even return to work directly following the procedure! You may notice some change immediately, but full results take time to develop and will be apparent within four to six weeks of your treatment.
Since CoolSculpting® Elite is such a mild, low-risk procedure, you are welcome to return to have the same area retargeted or have a new area treated a minimum of four to six weeks after your initial session.
